NO MORE Indoor Cages

Modified on Fri, 2 Dec, 2016 at 2:24 PM

Fairly Beloved Rabbit Care have launched our "No More Indoor Cages" campaign: a campaign designed to demonstrate better ways to house your rabbits indoors.

As we describe above, living space should be a minimum of 5ft (152cm) x 2ft (61cm) x 2ft(61cm), with our recommendation being to aim for 6ft (183cm) x 2ft (61cm) x 2ft (61cm).

The reality then is that the vast majority of indoor cages available commercially are simply far too small, and as such we will not accept adoption enquiries which utilise these cages as the main living space for your rabbits.

There are numerous alternatives to ensure your rabbits can be safely contained within your home, offering ample space for the rabbits whilst protecting them and your home when you are not available to supervise them. For example, our favoured approach is the use of "puppy" pens to create a suitable penned-off area within family rooms.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch for advice and guidance on the various options available to you.
